AS IF
AS IF是一组反映＂不存在性＂的交互艺术装置。一束光打在旋转的空花瓶上，投射出的阴影里，有花束肆意绽放，与花瓶的影子相融，一同旋转，仿佛花瓶中真的有一束无形无质的花；当试探的手伸向虚无的花朵，连花影也会归于沉寂。不存在的花朵或许是未曾拥有者的渴望，或许是失去者久久不能忘怀的悔恨。究竟哪一个更令人感到空虚呢？至于为什么叫 AS IF 这名字，请看附赠的小诗：
AS IF is a series of interactive installations with the aim of visualizing the nonexistence. Shadows of flowers are casted immediately above vases, merging with their own shadows. The rotating vases and shadows give the nonexistent flowers the sense of volume, but also deepen their hollowness. Should the viewer try to touch the nonexistent flowers, the shadows of the flowers will dissipate.
The nonexistent flowers could be the long-lasting desire of “having” or the lingering regret of “losing”. Which one feels hollower?
The accompanied poem somewhat explains why it is called AS IF :
As if there were roses
with spiny thorns
As if there were violets,
having leaves overgrown
As if everyone was well
All laughter, no tears
As if I had all the nice things in the world
As if you were here
通过拍摄旋转的鲜花影像，再将鲜花的影像处理成阴影效果，与巨大的光晕做叠加，再投射到立在转台的花瓶上，形成无花有影的错觉。在花瓶中加入传感器，当检测到花瓶口上方被遮挡是，将信号传给电脑，渐隐鲜花阴影的影像。
